We’re looking for someone friendly, reliable, and calm under pressure to join our hostel reception team. This is not a corporate hotel role. We want someone who can chat with guests from all over the world, handle busy check ins, solve problems quickly, and help keep the hostel running smoothly.
The vibe is relaxed, but the job still requires responsibility, common sense, and good energy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Checking guests in and out
- Handling bookings, payments, and basic admin
- Answering guest questions and giving local recommendations
- Managing emails, phone calls, and online messages
- Keeping an eye on the building and helping maintain a safe environment
- Assisting with room checks and reporting maintenance issues
- Helping resolve guest complaints professionally
- Working alongside housekeeping and management teams
- Monitoring noise levels and enforcing hostel policies when needed
- Helping create a welcoming social atmosphere for guests

Important
This role involves shift work, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Reception can get busy, so being dependable is important. This will be a fixed term contract with casual hours ranging from 24 hours to 40 hours per week, this will be dependent on occupancy and need.
