We work closely with our sister company, Artisan Events, specialists in outdoor markets and public events. Together, we manage and deliver high-quality markets and festivals for local authorities, brands, and communities across the country.
The Role
We are seeking a Market Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our city markets. This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring both operational coordination and physical setup.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring markets are set up efficiently, run smoothly throughout the day, and are safely packed down after trading.
For the immediate future, we are looking for someone available Thursday to Saturday, with additional working days expected to become available over the coming months as our event and market programme expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full setup and breakdown of market sites, including stalls, signage, and equipment
- Manage trader load-in and load-out, ensuring smooth and safe operations
- Act as the main on-site point of contact for traders, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Ensure all markets operate in line with health & safety standards
- Coordinate with internal teams on logistics, scheduling, and site planning
- Monitor the market throughout the day to ensure a high-quality visitor experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues efficiently
- Maintain clear communication and provide post-event reporting
Essential Requirements
- Full, clean driving licence (essential)
- Ability to undertake physical work, including lifting, setup, and site preparation
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Previous experience in events, markets, or outdoor operations is highly desirable
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with traders, suppliers, or public events
- Understanding of health & safety procedures for live events
- Basic administrative and reporting skills
Contract Details
- Initially Thursday to Saturday, with additional days becoming available as the programme grows
- On-site role across multiple locations
- Weekend work is a core part of the role
- Opportunity to develop into a larger role as our market and events portfolio continues to expand
Pay: From €18,000.00 per year
