Versatile Team Player – Help the kitchen get set up for the day, support with prep, and jump in wherever needed.

As a Kitchen Assistant (Kitchen Porter) at Sprout, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and safely.
This role is primarily focused on dishwashing and kitchen cleaning, making sure chefs and the wider team always have clean equipment to work with. You may also support with light prep and general kitchen tasks.
You don’t need previous experience — what matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and pride in keeping things clean and organised.

Dishwashing & Cleaning (Main Responsibility)
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
Keep the dishwashing area clean, organised, and running smoothly
Hygiene Hero
Follow daily and weekly cleaning checklists
Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment meet Sprout’s hygiene standards
Kitchen Support
Help with basic food prep (washing veg, simple tasks) when required
Support chefs and the wider kitchen team during busy periods
Food Safety & Health & Safety
Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times
Work with the GM to maintain a safe and well-organised kitchen
