We at the East Room Restaurant pride ourselves on traditional Irish hospitality, We have operated as a fine dining restaurant for the past 7 years and take great pride in our service to the Limerick and Munster community, our ever growing passion for the industry is reflected through our team and the attention to detail that we all show.
Our magnificent venue, Plassey House is the seat of the president of the University of Limerick. The building receives many visitors to its variety of art galleries including the National Self-Portrait Gallery of Ireland, the Armitage collection and pieces from the Irish-American Cultural Institute.
An opportunity for a supervisor has arisen. Exceptional candidates are invited to apply for the position which will have the following duties:
- To uphold the exacting standards of service that help distinguish our product
- To oversee all operations of restaurant service and to liaise closely with the restaurant manager to suggest improvements to the operation
- To be a point of contact for wait staff, maintaining a presence in the dining room and offering guidance
- To monitor good hygiene in the still room and bar areas
- To assist with till procedures including taking payments and settling bills
- To assist with phonically bookings as well as operating our Resdiary system online.
Successful candidates will have the following:
- 2 years experience in a fine dining setting including a time as a supervisor in a luxury setting
- An interest in food and wine with good knowledge of same
- A get-up-and-go attitude, with self discipline and good timekeeping
- An eagerness to constantly push standards in the restaurant for the better
The restaurant operates on a 4-day work week for both lunch and dinner. This is a full time position with competitive packages depending on experience. Room for progression for the right candidate. Flexibility including weekends, lunch shifts and evening shifts is required.
