We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer to join a leading Irish main contractor delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across the West of Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering activities on site and ensure works are delivered in line with design, programme, and quality requirements.
- Contribute to site leadership, supporting planning, coordination, and project delivery.
- Liaise with project teams to ensure timely flow of technical information.
- Maintain site records and manage documentation systems (e.g. Procore or similar).
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure all works comply with project quality plans, ISO standards, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Review drawings and technical documents and provide engineering input at site meetings.
- Support project close-out, including handover documentation, warranties, and certifications.
- Mentor and support junior engineers on site.
Key Requirements:
- Degree-qualified Engineer with 5+ years’ site-based experience (main contractor environment preferred).
- Strong experience in setting out, surveying, and temporary works.
- Good knowledge of Irish construction methods and Health & Safety legislation.
- Strong communication, coordination, and site supervision skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and CAD; experience with document control systems an advantage.
- Full clean Irish driving licence required.
