Job Summary:
A Curves manager reports to the owner and is responsible for helping members build a healthy lifestyle; guiding members toward their goals, supporting them each step of the way and celebrating every victory.
A Manager needs to demonstrate competence and provide quality leadership and support in all areas outlined for a Circuit Coach. In addition, the Manager will take care of all management responsibilities delegated by the Owner. The Manager will report directly to and work with the owner on the execution of business KPI’s.
Manager Specific Responsibilities:
· Train, coach, manage staff members
· Track club performance. The Business check up is to be analysed daily and any corrective action planned as necessary
· Hiring and handling disciplinary procedures with staff
· Scheduling
· Ordering products
Service:
· Building custom solutions to encourage member retention
· Participating in any in-club promotions
· Conducting Monthly Coaching Sessions, review/set new goals/celebrate success
· Completing outgoing MIA contacts
· Completing the process for membership renewals and cancellations
· Assist in emergency situations by thinking on their feet, calling emergency services and/or administering first aid/CPR
Circuit Coaching Activities:
· Ensure safety of members on the circuit
· Maintain member engagement through motivating, energetic, approachable, polite, compassionate, and encouraging coaching
· Possess knowledge of the circuit exercises, ability to follow scripts and have credibility to explain exercises and movements to members. Understand and explain target heart rate zones
· Provide coaching for first five workouts and other programs as needed.
· Help members stay focused on results and goals, actively engage, push and motivate them to success with caring support
· Coach speciality classes on the circuit
· Coach members, correct, compel and celebrate as outlined in training material
Sales/Membership:
· Confirm all appointments; call any no shows to reschedule within 24 hours, follow-up with no sales
· Deliver price presentation
· Enter all member transaction information into Curves Operating System
Guest Production:
Curves relies on both internal and external marketing to produce new guests. Each staff member is required to participate in guest production activities which may include marketing outside the club
· Deliver the phone script
· Schedule appointments for all incoming calls and walk-ins
· Schedule appointments for potential members & reschedule any missed appointments within 24 hours
· Acquire Buddy Referrals, meet daily quota of one referral per shift
· Strategically use OSE reports to make targeted outbound phone calls (minimum quota of 5 outgoing calls per shift)
Administrative/Other:
· Attend or facilitate staff meetings and trainings
. Meetings and trainings include pre-work, actively participating in role playing and skill building exercises, and passing all certifications
· Participate in and complete all professional development and updated training provided
· Complete administrative tasks as required
· Comply with company policies and procedures regarding standards of dress, attendance, timeliness, and professionalism. Must have flexible schedule and be able to workdays, evening, and weekends
· Light cleaning such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning equipment, mats, and restrooms
· Process travel/transfer and medical holds as necessary
