Our client is a leading engineering contractor delivering large-scale mission-critical projects across Europe. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a major Data Centre project in Denmark.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of complex mechanical systems from design coordination through installation, commissioning and final handover. The successful candidate will work closely with project management, subcontractors, consultants and commissioning teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

- Coordinate and manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Review and assess design documentation, specifications and technical submittals
- Prepare and coordinate fully integrated services drawings
- Support procurement activities, material requisitions and equipment tracking
- Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders to resolve technical queries
- Manage RFIs and ensure technical issues are closed out efficiently
- Conduct quality inspections, system walkdowns and snagging activities
- Assist with commissioning activities, test packs and system handovers
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments
- Support project reporting and progress tracking
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and project requirements
- Mentor and support junior engineers where required
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent qualification
- 5+ years' experience working with a mechanical contractor
- Experience delivering commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre or mission-critical projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems installation and commissioning
- Experience reviewing technical submittals and design documentation
- Ability to carry out system walkdowns and verify compliance with specifications
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery processes
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
