Overview/Background
Operating in a busy environment, the Customer Service Co-ordinator will report to the Commercial Manager and a key link between our customers and internal departments, ensuring smooth communication and efficient order management .
The Role
- Upload and monitor sales orders on our ERP system (BVP) in a precise and timely manner.
- Release Works Tickets to Production in line with Customer order requirements.
- Liaise with external Sales Team and internal teams from Production, Quality, Finance and Warehouse Departments.
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to both customers and Customer Solutions Managers.
- Act as a key liaison between internal departments (Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Sales, and Dispatch) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support the team in achieving optimal performance in cost efficiency, service levels, and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Manage the full order process:
- Receive and input orders via phone, email etc.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders in line with customer requirements.
- Follow up to confirm delivery accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage customer pricing and invoice queries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage stock levels for Kanban and VMI customers to ensure product availability
Key Competencies/Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience in a customer service or internal sales role, preferably within a manufacturing or B2B environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Strong IT proficiency, including experience with order processing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills.
- A solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
- Demonstrated innovative thinking, with a proactive approach to improving processes and enhancing customer experience.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and grow—training will be provided.
