We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller / Hotel Accountant to join our group finance team, supporting the financial management and reporting of a portfolio of hospitality businesses.
This is a group-level role, working across multiple hotel operations with the possibility of ownership of one or two properties.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Financial Controller, General Managers and operational teams, providing accurate financial reporting, analysis and commercial insight across the specified hotels.
With a portfolio that includes 5 hotels and significant Food & Beverage operations, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced hospitality finance professional who enjoys variety, understands the operational side of the business and wants to develop their career within a wider group structure.

Support the Group Financial Controller with the financial management and reporting of multiple hospitality operations.

Prepare and review accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Work with individual property teams to ensure group reporting requirements and deadlines are met.

Analyse hotel and F&B performance against budget, forecast and prior year.

Provide financial insight and analysis to General Managers and senior operational management.

Review revenue, costs, margins and key financial performance indicators across the properties.

Support the budgeting and forecasting process for individual properties and the wider group.

Review and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and reconciliations.

Support month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.

Monitor and analyse key hospitality metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, payroll costs, F&B margins and expenses.

Work with operational teams to improve cost control, forecasting and profitability

Review daily revenue and financial controls across hotel and F&B operations.

Assist with cash-flow management and working capital reporting.

Support year-end processes, external audits and statutory reporting.

Ensure appropriate financial controls and group policies are consistently applied across the portfolio.

Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and financial controls.

Provide ad hoc financial analysis and commercial support to the Group Finance team and senior management.
We are looking for someone who combines strong accounting ability with a genuine understanding of hospitality operations.
Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience in hotel, hospitality or another multi-site operational environment.

Strong management accounting and month-end experience.

A strong understanding of hotel revenue, labour costs, food and beverage margins, stock and operational cost control.

Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to deadlines.

The confidence to work with General Managers and operational teams across different properties.

The ability to challenge, support and influence operational decision-making using financial information.
