The Role
As the Store & Café Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the daily commercial operations, financial performance, team management, and customer experience across both the retail floor and café area.
You will act as the operational backbone of the business—driving sales, maintaining high standards, and fostering a positive, welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities
- Business Operations: Manage end-to-end daily operations across the retail store and café, ensuring efficiency, high presentation standards, and flawless customer service.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, roster, and mentor staff. Build a high-performing team culture centered on accountability and warmth.
- Financial Performance: Drive sales growth, control operational costs, manage labor margins, and oversee daily till reconciliations, banking, and reporting.
- Stock & Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, stock counts, supplier relationships, ordering, and waste reduction strategies.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to Health & Safety, Food Safety (HACCP), and retail compliance guidelines.
- Network & Community Engagement: Represent the brand locally while collaborating with leaders across our 13 stores to share best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven managerial retail experience as a Store Manager (experience managing combined retail/food or hospitality concepts is a distinct advantage).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop a multi-disciplinary team.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of retail metrics (KPIs, margin control, labor cost management, inventory control).
- Compliance Knowledge: Practical knowledge of food hygiene standards (HACCP) and health & safety legislation.
