Requirements:
- Registered with NMBI. Must have active PIN.
- Clinical experience working in Gerontological/Residential Care.
- Caring and passionate about providing high quality person-centred care.
- Working experience of HIQA Standards & Health Act Regulations 2013.
- Fluent in the English language (verbal and written).
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to motivate others and lead a care team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standard of nursing care within the home.
- Ensure that all residents are treated with dignity, privacy and respect ensuring they are treated as individuals.
- Establish a personal and meaningful relationship with all residents, relatives and visitors, ensuring appropriate support is given at all times.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed to the standards required.
- Maintain clear, concise and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation.
- Promote a professional environment conducive to good morale for both staff and residents alike.
- Ensure that the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the resident are attended to and collaborate with other health care staff as required.
- Promote professional practice at all times.
