Cabins & Containers is seeking an experienced Spray Supervisor to join our busy operations team at our facility in Oristown, Kells, Co. Meath.
This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for overseeing the preparation and spray painting of our range of steel cabins, containers and modular units, while ensuring a consistently high-quality finish and an efficient flow of work through the spray area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day workload of the spray painting team.
- Plan and prioritise units for preparation and spraying in line with the production schedule.
- Carry out spray painting duties alongside the team when required.
- Ensure cabins, containers and steel components are correctly prepared before painting, including sanding, cleaning, masking and priming.
- Ensure paint finishes meet company quality standards before units leave the spray area.
- Monitor paint, primers and consumable stock and advise when materials need to be reordered.
- Ensure spray equipment, guns and associated tools are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Identify defects or rework requirements and ensure they are rectified promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe spray painting area.
- Ensure appropriate PPE and Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and other workshop teams to ensure production deadlines are achieved.
- Support, train and guide members of the spray team to maintain productivity and quality standards.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in industrial, construction, or steel spray painting.
- Previous supervisory, team leader or foreman experience is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of paint preparation, primers, coatings and spray application.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on finish quality.
- Ability to organise and manage workloads within a busy production environment.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to assist the team where required.
- Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- Must have own transport as we are located in a remote area.
Competitive salary based on experience, with an additional discretionary performance bonus linked to productivity, quality standards and completed cabins.
Pay: €36,000.00-€38,000.00 per year
