We are looking for a Chef to Join our busy Kitchen! PROS - Great reputation, amazing food, sound and deadly team and no late nights!! Social family friendly hours. Kitchen opening hours 7am - 4.30pm.
Essential Experience
- Must have extensive knowledge of and significant restaurant experience in Oriental cuisine
- Must be up to date with new Oriental recipes and preparation techniques
- Must be familiar with original Oriental foods and preparation methods of same
- Must possess a knowledge of best cooking practices
- Must possess at least 3 years restaurant kitchen experience
- Must have an excellent command of the English language
- Prior wok chef experience essential
Responsibilities
- Preparing, cooking and presenting oriental dishes in correspondence to the Head Chef’s vision, maintaining the Kitchen’s excellent reputation
- Assisting the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
- Maintaining service levels and timing
- Ensuring co-operation with HACCP Standards at all times
- Upholding order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours
- Ensuring the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation
