We're recruiting Treatment Plant Operators across North Cork, East Cork and Cork City. No experience is necessary — full training will be provided. If you're reliable, practical and happy working independently, we'll teach you everything you need to run a water or wastewater treatment plant safely and to standard.
This is a great entry point into the water industry, with long-term job security and clear progression.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily checks and monitoring across assigned treatment plants
- Take routine water and effluent samples for testing
- Manage chemical dosing and monitor plant performance
- Complete routine servicing and basic preventative maintenance
- Respond to plant alarms and escalate faults appropriately
- Keep accurate daily logs, readings and compliance records
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures
- Participate in an on-call and weekend rota
Requirements
- No previous experience required — full training provided
- Reliable, punctual and able to work on your own initiative
- Full clean driving licence (essential — you'll travel between sites)
- Practical, hands-on approach and basic mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Able to follow written procedures and keep accurate records
- Living in, or able to commute within, North Cork, East Cork or Cork City
- Willing to join an on-call/weekend rota
Nice to Have
- Any background in farming, construction, manufacturing, maintenance or plant operation
- Safe Pass card
- Confined space or manual handling training
- Basic electrical or mechanical knowledge

Pay: €30,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
