Job Description:
Grub Deli and Grocer is a busy, quality-focused deli in Ballina. We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support our day-to-day food production.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, working with fresh ingredients across sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and hot meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food prep (vegetables, meats, fillings)
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and deli items
- Support baking and kitchen production
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Follow food safety and EHO guidelines
- Keep work areas organised and stocked
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or deli experience (preferred but not essential)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness
- Team player with a positive attitude
