ROSS Ireland has been operating for over 30 years in Construction and Engineering, delivering high-quality infrastructure and building projects across Ireland, and we are looking for an experienced Civil / Structural Site Engineer to join our expanding site teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven site engineer who wants real on-site ownership, to work closely with experienced project leaders, and to play a key role in the successful delivery of technically challenging projects — with a clear and exciting project roadmap from day one.
As Site Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest specification — from initial planning right through to completion.
Site Engineer – What You'll Do
- Oversee and manage site activities from planning through to completion
- Set out works accurately using Total Station and GPS
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure full compliance
- Monitor daily progress and support supervision of site works
- Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating where appropriate
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams effectively
- Manage plant, materials, and labour resources efficiently
- Uphold quality standards and company procedures at all times
- Enforce health & safety and traffic management requirements on site
- Attend site meetings and prepare clear, accurate progress updates
Site Engineer – What We're Looking For
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3–4 years of experience as a Site Engineer with a Developer, Main Contractor, or Subcontractor
- Strong setting out capability using Total Station and GPS
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and general IT systems
- Full clean manual driver's licence
- Sharp attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Confident communicator across site and management levels
- Ability to make sound decisions independently and escalate when required
