We are seeking a reliable and responsible Live-in Caretaker to look after the general upkeep, security, and presentation of a student accomodation complex.
This is a part-time live-in position with a one-bedroom apartment provided for the successful applicant. The role involves approximately 12–15 hours per week and requires a flexible, practical person who can work independently.
Availability during May and June 2027 is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the common areas, grounds, and general appearance of the property.
- Carry out routine checks of buildings, entrances, lighting, fire alarms, CCTV, and security systems.
- Monitor waste management and ensure outdoor areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and garden upkeep where required.
- Report any issues requiring further attention to management.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance and general property preparation.
- Provide a welcoming and professional presence for residents, students, and visitors.
Requirements:
- Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.
- A practical person who is handy and comfortable carrying out basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a property to a high standard.
- Ability to manage a flexible work schedule, including occasional weekends.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach.
