The Lead Enterprise Data & Systems Architect will act as the primary technical authority and delivery lead for the provision of enterprise data platform services supporting our client’s livestock, genomic, and genetic evaluation systems.
The role is responsible for the design, development, optimisation, and support of large-scale Oracle-based systems, ensuring alignment with high-volume data processing requirements and mission-critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and maintenance of Oracle 19c database systems and architecture
- Develop and optimise PL/SQL processes for large-scale data ingestion and processing
- Support genetic evaluation systems and livestock data processing workflows
- Design and implement batch processing and reporting solutions, including Streamserve
- Architect and support integrations across herdbook, milk recording, artificial insemination, and farmer-facing systems
- Provide Level 3 support for production systems, including troubleshooting, optimisation, and issue resolution
- Lead technical decision-making and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
- Deliver knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams
Technical Skills (Mandatory):
- Oracle 19c database administration and development (expert level)
- PL/SQL and large-scale data processing
- Distributed data architecture and data modelling
- Batch processing and reporting systems (e.g. Streamserve)
- SQL Server integration and data handling
- XML development and data exchange processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Domain Experience:
- Proven experience in livestock data systems, genetic evaluation platforms, or comparable large-scale data environments such as healthcare genomics, scientific data systems, or statistical modelling platforms
Experience Profile:
- 12+ years’ experience in enterprise data systems
- Demonstrated delivery of large-scale, high-availability systems
- Proven track record in supporting complex, production-critical environments
Allocation:
- Approximately 100–130 days per annum
Pay: €600.00-€625.00 per day
