About ROQ
ROQ Commercial Contracting is a growing civil engineering contractor delivering projects across Ireland including utilities, earthworks, road construction, drainage, site clearance and general civil engineering works.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to hire an experienced Rigid Truck Driver to join our transport and operations team working across projects in Dublin and the Midlands.
The Role
The successful candidate will operate modern Scania 8-wheel tipper trucks transporting stone, soil and construction materials to and from active civils and utilities projects.
This role involves a mix of road driving and site-based haulage, so experience working safely around construction sites is essential.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced driver who takes pride in their vehicle, works safely and can operate independently as part of a busy site team.
Main Responsibilities
- Operating 8-wheel tipper trucks safely and efficiently
- Transporting stone, soil and materials between sites
- Working safely on active civil engineering and utilities projects
- Carrying out daily walk-around inspections and defect reporting
- Maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of vehicle
- Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Ensuring loads are transported securely and safely
- Completing all legally required driving and vehicle documentation
- Following site health & safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience operating rigid tipper trucks within construction or civil engineering
- Good understanding of working around active sites and live operations
- Experience on utilities and civil engineering projects preferred
- Strong awareness of safety and vehicle care
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- All required licences, CPCs and legal driving requirements up to date
