Food Production Manager
Bradbury & Connolly Hot School Meals is a growing company producing and distributing high-quality hot school meals to schools across the West of Ireland.
We are looking for an energetic, organised and hands-on Food Production Manager to lead and manage our production team of approximately 18 people.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food production who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in high standards and has the leadership skills to get the best from a team.
The Role
As Food Production Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of our food production operation, ensuring that meals are produced to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, food safety and consistency.
You will lead by example, motivate the production team and ensure that the highest standards are maintained every day.
Working Schedule
- Working days: Sunday to Thursday
- Days off: Friday and Saturday
- Our production calendar follows the primary school term
- July & August off
- Christmas, Easter and school mid-term breaks off
This unique working pattern offers an exceptional work/life balance, with regular weekends off and extended periods of time off throughout the school year.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a food production or food manufacturing environment
- Has excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Has a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Is hands-on and willing to get involved in the day-to-day operation
- Leads by example and can motivate a team
- Has a strong understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and food safety
- Holds a recognised HACCP / Food Safety qualification — this is an essential requirement
- Takes food safety, quality and cleanliness extremely seriously
- Can work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is reliable, responsible and able to take ownership of their role
