Quality Control Inspectors

Role Summary
Quality Control Inspectors are responsible for ensuring that all Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection and Testing:
- Conduct detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished LV Switchgear products.
- Verify that components and products meet established specifications, industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL), and customer requirements.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections using appropriate testing equipment and tools.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and any non-conformities identified.
- Prepare and issue quality control reports, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action reports (CARs).
- Document and report all quality issues to the Quality Manager and relevant production teams.
Non-Conformance Management:
- Identify and document any deviations from quality standards or specifications.
- Collaborate with the production team to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and suggest improvements where necessary.
Process Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the development and updating of quality control procedures and inspection guidelines.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all quality control activities conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with company safety policies.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate department.
Work Environment:
- The role involves working on the production floor, with occasional office duties for documentation and reporting.
- May require occasional overtime to meet production deadlines.
Required:
- One to three years’ experience in a similar role/industry
- Relevant QC/QA qualifications or similar
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- A knowledge and understanding of QC/QA processes
- These roles will be based in Ballycoolin, Damastown and Ashbourne
