Let’s go places together.
As a Commercial Manager, you will report to the Head of P&L, and be accountable for the performance and growth of one of CarTrawler's four P&L lines.
Your primary responsibility is to align and focus the Trading Squad on the highest-value commercial opportunities, setting priorities and ensuring resources are aligned to deliver them.
Trading Squads are cross-functional, self-organised teams with expertise in digital marketing, pricing, analytics, CRM, data science, and partner management. They bring together these capabilities to solve complex commercial problems and drive trading performance.
You will be responsible for driving profitable growth and strong trading performance while maintaining high levels of partner satisfaction.
P&L Optimisation: Deliver against ambitious performance targets using trading levers such as pricing, CRM, digital marketing, merchandising, and sort order.
Workload Management: Prioritise and manage the workload of Squad members, ensuring efficient and effective execution of tasks. Ensure the Squad are prioritising problems and coordinating solutions.
Data Analysis: Coordinate and undertake data analysis and hypothesis testing to uncover and address trading opportunities and issues.
Stakeholder Communication: Keep key stakeholders updated on Squad activities, trading performance, key wins, issues, risks, and opportunities.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the Squad, engaging with stakeholders to develop people and processes.
Commercial Objectives: Set objectives around partner renewals and manage Squad resources to meet these goals.
Strategic Roadmap: Define, scope, and present CarTrawler’s trading strategic roadmap, identifying and shaping opportunities to enhance the partner proposition.
Strategic Prioritisation: Identify what is core versus strategic activity, ensuring Squad focus is aligned to the highest-impact commercial opportunities.
