Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of our factory stores and inventory function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring materials, tools and equipment are accurately received, stored, issued and controlled to support production. This role is critical in maintaining efficient stock management, ensuring production teams have the right materials available at the right time while maintaining accurate inventory records.
The Store Supervisor will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high standards of housekeeping, organisation and safety throughout the stores operation.
Reporting To
General Manager
Your reporting structure will be clearly communicated during your induction.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise the daily operation of the factory stores.
- Receive, inspect and record deliveries from suppliers.
- Ensure all materials are stored safely and correctly.
- Issue materials, consumables, tools and equipment to production teams.
- Maintain accurate stock records using Sortly or a similar inventory management system.
- Carry out regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Maintain an organised, clean and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure all stock is correctly labelled and traceable.
- Monitor the condition of tools and equipment.
- Assist with goods inward and outward documentation.
General Responsibilities
The Store Supervisor may also be required to:
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely (where certified).
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
- Support production during busy periods.
- Work collaboratively with Purchasing, Production and Quality departments.
Key Performance Indicators
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Inventory accuracy maintained above target.
- Zero lost or unaccounted stock.
- Timely issue of materials to production.
- Accurate goods receiving and recording.
- Zero Health & Safety incidents within the stores area.
Role Requirements Essential
- Previous experience as a Store Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor or Stores Coordinator in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Experience using Sortly inventory management software or a similar stock control system.
- Good understanding of inventory management principles.
- Experience receiving and issuing materials.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Forklift licence.
- Manual Handling Certificate.
Working Hours
The factory currently operates a single shift:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
Friday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
