Part-Time Practice Accountant Hybrid - Remote
Location: Cork City - Initially Hybrid, with the opportunity to work primarily from home
Hours: Part-time (flexible)
Salary: From €25 per hour DOE
KR Accountancy is looking for an experienced Practice Accountant to join our growing firm on a part-time hybrid-remote basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (Form 11 and Form 12)
- Prepare and file Corporation Tax Returns (CT1)
- Prepare annual financial statements for sole traders and limited companies
- Prepare and file CRO Annual Returns (B1) via CORE
- Liaise with Revenue, the Companies Registration Office (CRO) and clients
- Prepare and submit Revenue registrations where required
- Respond to Revenue correspondence and compliance queries
- Review client records and request outstanding information
- Ensure statutory filing deadlines are met
- Assist with general practice and tax compliance work
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in an Irish accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of Irish tax and company compliance
- Experience preparing and filing:
- Income Tax Returns
- Corporation Tax Returns
- CRO Annual Returns through CORE
- Good knowledge of Revenue Online Service (ROS)
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience with Sage50 Accounts, BrightBooks, Xero or similar accounting software
- ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified or part-qualified
- Experience dealing directly with Revenue and CRO
