We are looking for a *reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant* to join our busy Indian restaurant in Carlow.
This is a hands-on support role within the kitchen. The successful candidate will help keep the kitchen running smoothly by assisting with cleaning, food preparation, plating and takeaway orders.
### Key Responsibilities
* Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
* Keep kitchen areas, floors and workstations clean and organized
* Assist with basic food preparation, including chopping and peeling
* Help with *mise en place* and preparing ingredients
* Assist chefs during busy service
* Help with plating and garnishing dishes
* Pack takeaway and delivery orders accurately
* Assist with stock deliveries, storage and stock rotation
* Follow food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety procedures
* Dispose of waste correctly
* Carry out other general kitchen duties as required
### Requirements
* Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but *not essential*
* Good attitude and willingness to learn
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking
* Able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
* Good teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to follow instructions
* Food hygiene knowledge is an advantage

Pay: €14.15-€14.16 per hour
