We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in the production of pet treats while ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Troubleshoot minor machine faults and report any significant issues to maintenance personnel.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
- Complete production records and documentation accurately.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Assist with changeovers, cleaning, and sanitation of production equipment.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience operating manufacturing or production machinery.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required.
Desirable:
- Experience in food, pet food, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP principles.
- Forklift licence (advantageous but not a necessity)
- Experience with mixing raw materials
