Your key duties will include:

Providing visible clinical leadership and mentorship to our nursing and healthcare teams.

Overseeing the quality, safety, and consistency of resident care.

Support nurses with complex clinical decision making and escalation of concerns.

Deputise for the Person in Charge and Deputy Person in Charge at weekends.
- Monitor care plans, assessments and clinical documentation standards.
- Support safe medication management and evidence based nursing practice.
- Leading clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Support the review and management of important clinical risks and KPI'S.

Supporting staff development, from induction to professional growth.

Promote effective communication and partnership with residents and families

Liaise with the HSE and relevant external healthcare professionals, agencies and service partners.
- Support referrals, appointments, hospital transfers and appropriate safe discharge planning where required.
- Support compliance with HIQA regulations, national standards, organisational policies and best practice.
- Working closely with the senior management team to drive clinical governance and continuous improvement.

About The Role
Step into a role that perfectly balances leadership with clinical practice. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, your days will be dynamic and impactful. You will predominantly work in a supernumerary capacity, providing crucial oversight, mentorship, and support to the nursing team. This involves guiding them through complex clinical decisions, monitoring care standards, and leading quality improvement projects.
Once a week, you'll engage in direct nursing care, keeping your clinical skills sharp and staying connected to the residents' needs.
