The Clerk of Works will play a key role within the Regeneration Department, ensuring that construction and public realm works are delivered safely, to specification, within programme and in accordance with relevant statutory and contractual requirements. Reporting to a Senior Executive Engineer and/or Town Regeneration Officer, or such designated person(s) as may be assigned from time to time, he/she will assist in the delivery of a programme of capital projects. The successful candidate will supervise and inspect construction, and public realm works across a range of regeneration and capital projects and will assist in ensuring quality assurance, compliance with specifications, programme delivery and health & safety standards.
The role will involve substantial site-based activity and engagement with contractors, consultants, utility providers, stakeholders, elected members and members of the public.

- Conservation and heritage-led regeneration
