The Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Dairy Hygiene Telesales Advisor to join our team.
This role is ideally suited to someone with practical dairy farming experience, such as a relief milker, part-time farmer, former farm employee, or someone looking to supplement income from a home farm enterprise.
The position is office-based and initially involves approximately 10–14 hours per week, with flexibility around suitable working times. As the business continues to grow, there is potential for additional hours and increased responsibility.
You will work directly with dairy farmers, helping them improve milk quality and hygiene performance while developing long-term customer relationships.
This is not a hard-sell role. Farmers value practical advice from people who understand their day-to-day challenges, making dairy farming experience a significant advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Contact & Sales
- Build relationships with dairy farmers over the phone
- Manage existing customer accounts
- Generate repeat business and identify new sales opportunities
- Discuss dairy hygiene routines and product requirements
- Help customers select the most suitable solutions for their farm
- Follow up on quotations and customer enquiries
- Maintain accurate customer records
Business Development
- Support the growth of new customers and sales opportunities
- Contact prospective customers within targeted areas
- Assist with developing efficient delivery routes and customer clusters
- Generate leads and opportunities for the wider sales team
Events & Trade Shows
- Represent Dairy Direct at agricultural events and trade shows throughout the year
- Meet existing and prospective customers
- Generate new leads and opportunities
- Support product demonstrations and customer engagement activities

What We're Looking ForEssential
- Practical dairy farming experience
- Good understanding of milking parlours and dairy farm routines
- Comfortable speaking with farmers by phone
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised and self-motivated
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Advantage
- Relief milking experience
- Previous sales, telesales, or customer service experience
- Experience using farm chemicals or dairy hygiene products
- Agricultural qualification or farming background
