The Hardiman Hotel, a landmark four-star hotel located in the heart of Galway city, is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to join our management team. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for maintaining the hotel's historic fabric, modern facilities, and guest areas to the highest operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and motivate the maintenance team on a daily basis

Plan and oversee preventive and reactive maintenance across the hotel

Ensure all plant, equipment, bedrooms, and public areas are maintained efficiently

Coordinate external contractors and manage service schedules

Ensure compliance with all health & safety, fire safety, and statutory regulations

Work closely with hotel management and department heads to support seamless operations

Maintain accurate maintenance records and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience in maintenance management or a senior maintenance role

Strong technical knowledge with hands-on problem-solving ability

Excellent organisational and leadership skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Hospitality industry experience is highly desirable

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are an advantage
