We are currently recruiting for a Filler Machine Operator based at our brewery in Bagenalstown, Co Carlow.

As filler operator of a busy packaging line including bottle and can formats, duties will include:
- Following pre-start up process – checking all plans, materials, and requirements in advance.
- Set up and operate Filler machines and area, following specific work instructions.
- Perform package inspections and complete paperwork.
- Perform Monitor Checks as detailed in the Line Monitoring and Testing work instruction.
- Operate other in line process machines.
- Maintaining a clean work area to highest standards and in line with compliance requirements.
- Keeping line management informed promptly of any issues/potential issues arising and work to avoid and/or resolve promptly.
- Complete and file all relevant production records in full and on time.
- Maintaining a positive work atmosphere and interaction with business partners, co-workers, and management.
- Comply with all environmental regulations including GMP's, HACCP, and QSHE.
- Ensure pallets are moved with precision to appropriate location by using a manual or power pallet jack.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment while observing all PPE standards and precaution.
- Perform CIP on machinery to ensure cleanliness and ensure the highest quality product.
- Comply with all company policy and procedures, as well as NSAI standards.
- Maintain high standards of QA, QC, and sanitation for both machines and products.
- Assist QA in preparing filling batch record documentation to facilitate ease of review for auditing purposes.
- Inspect date codes, weights, labels, and bottles with the FDA paperwork before packaging.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and adjust machines, to ensure product specification.
- Label and stack products onto the pallets then pass through CCP detectors to search for foreign objects.
- Help develop cost and time reductions in changeovers from 33cl to 50cl and cans to bottles.
- Package finished products and resupply materials for required machines, and other feeding devices.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience of 1-2 years in a similar role is ideal but full training will be provided.
- Must be enthusiastic and proactive, a good communicator with a strong work ethic and follow up skills required working in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet productivity standards and targets.
- Observes safety and security procedures.
- Willingness to learn and upskill as required.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, a professional attitude, and produces accurate work product.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including evenings
