- Northwest Business Park, Dublin 15
We are also hiring drivers for: Ballymount, Dublin 12 & North Wicklow.
We are recruiting both experienced and trainee bus drivers - whether you already hold a Category D licence or are just starting out with a Category B licence, we want to hear from you.
Minimum Requirements
For Trainee Bus Drivers:
- Valid Full Irish Category B/Car Licence (held for a minimum of two years)
- Over the age of 21 (to comply with D Licence regulation)
- Pass a written English assessment test at the interview
For Experienced Bus Drivers:
- Valid Category D Licence
- Valid Full Irish Category B/Car Licence (held for a minimum of two years)
- Over the age of 21 (to comply with D Licence regulation)
- Pass a written English assessment test at the interview
- Pass a pre-employment on bus driving assessment with us
What Will You Earn?
Trainee Bus Drivers:
- Starting pay: €14.40 per hour during training (approx. 6-8 weeks)
- After training: Band 1 rate of €17.40 per hour
- Enhanced rates: €20.88 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- Progression through 5 pay bands as a qualified driver
Experienced Bus Drivers:
- Starting pay: €16.20 per hour during training (approx. 1 week in classroom)
- After training: Band 1 rate of €17.40 per hour
- Enhanced rates: €20.88 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- Progression through 5 pay bands as a qualified driver
Training Schedule for Trainees
- 5-day week during training (approx. 8 weeks)
- 1 week in-house classroom training with a dedicated trainer
- 4–7 weeks bus training with Approved Driving Instructors
- Driving/CPC test
- Route learning and mentoring
- “Go-Live” in service
