Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Transport Planner & Supervisor to optimize our daily delivery and distribution network. You will be responsible for building cost-effective routes, managing asset utilization, and coordinating directly with our driver pool to ensure seamless customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Route Optimization: Plan, schedule, and optimize daily delivery and collection routes using Transport Management Systems (TMS) to maximize vehicle capacity and minimize costs.
- Driver Management: Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, issuing daily work schedules, rotas, and manifests.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with EU Driver Hours legislation, tachograph rules, and RSA/HSA guidelines.
- Reporting: Compile customer discrepancy reports and report to relevant persons.
- Maintenance scheduling: Assisting the transport manager with monitoring fleet maintenance and scheduling repairs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced logistics, freight forwarding, or distribution environment.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency with Excel, ERP software, and routing systems.
- Local Geography: Exceptional geographical knowledge of local and national road networks.
- Core Traits: Ability to function under tight deadlines, solve problems on the move, and communicate calmly with drivers and clients
Morning Shift Pattern 05:00 - 14:00.
In the correct circumstances - we could consider moving shift to 23:00 - 08:00.
Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
