Background
Atkins is a long established and leading player in both the farm and garden machinery sectors in Ireland. We recently rebuilt our premises at Bandon which now functions as a full-service dealership (i.e. onsite salesperson, well stocked stores and fully equipped workshop). We offer and support a full portfolio of farm and garden machinery from some of the best names in the industry. With four workshop technicians the service advisor is a busy interface between the mechanics and customers.
Job Purpose
Provide an efficient service desk function to customers and support the efficient operation of the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers arriving at the service desk and book in workshop jobs;
- Take calls from customers and colleagues regarding offsite work and create the service orders for same;
- Allocate jobs to mechanics;
- Invoice and take payment for completed jobs;
- Call customers for payment for work done offsite and follow up with customers if payment is outstanding;
- Liaise with mechanics, the parts dept, drivers and others in the business to ensure smooth passage of work through the workshop;
- Help customers unload/load machinery coming in/going out;
- Take customers’ phonecalls/whatsapp messages enquiring of the status of work, etc.;
- Attend to service-related complaints (escalate if necessary);
- Maintain the workshop department’s deliveries/collections schedule;
- Maintain the jobs board to ensure jobs are processed and closed as required;
- Ensure machines in for work are stored/parked tidily;
- File completed jobcards, PDI sheets, etc. orderly;
- Cashout the workshop till daily;
- Cover the farm stores / garden machinery / goods inwards counter at times as required (e.g. lunch rotations).

Experience & Qualifications
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Completed second level education
- At least two years work experience and incorporating a customer facing role
- Competent PC skills
- An understanding of the functioning of machinery an advantage

Structure : Permanent & full time
Remuneration : €16.50 - €17.50 / hr.
Pension : Yes, attractive employer contributions level
Schedule : Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:30 + Saturday morning 9:00 – 13:00 on rotation
Overtime : Yes, Saturday mornings, paid at time and a half
Work Environment : Customer facing service desk off the farm store
Department : 1 garden machinery mechanic + 1 robotic mower specialist + 2 farm machinery mechanics + 1 driver (part-time)
Pay: €33,000.00-€36,000.00 per year
