Job Description: Spa Attendant

Job Summary:
The Spa Attendant for The Hawthorn By Galway Bay plays an essential role in ensuring treatment rooms , outdoor facilities and public areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a friendly, guest focused attitude. Spa Attendant contribute directly to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests, supporting the hotel’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:·
- To maintain the cleanliness standards set by the hotel and Leading Hotels of The World. Responsibility for the daily cleaning of their allocated areas
- To handle and use cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with health and safety guidelines.
- To communicate hotel services to guests when requested.
- To ensure that all the treatment rooms , Changing Rooms, outdoor facilities and public areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Ensure that the Spa is fully equipped with Guest Supplies at all times.
- To follow direction from the Spa Director and Head Therapist.
- To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming in line with the hotel’s standards.
- To observe all rules and procedures.
- To ensure that all equipment and materials are not left in a hazardous state.
- To turn over any lost and found property and log it correctly.
- To attend any meetings and training sessions required by Management.
- To always be friendly and smile while on duty and acknowledge guests when in contact.
- To be in full uniform when on duty and to comply with grooming standards.
- To comply with hotel policy and procedures and security procedures regarding access to rooms.
- To always comply with Health & Safety Standards. To report any accidents and follow hotel procedure.
- To comply with mobile phone and jewelry procedure.
Other Duties:
- To participate in fire and accident drills.
- Stock and tidy the spa stores.
- Clean and vacuum service stairs and lifts.
- Any other reasonable duties as directed by management Attend department meetings and training sessions such as departmental training, Fire, Health & Safety, Customer care, Manual Handling and any other training as directed by Management.
- Working Hours: As per the schedule provided, including weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements.
Required Experience & Skills
- This role involves working with cleaning products and equipment. It requires excellent time management, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Spa Attendants are key to delivering a comfortable and luxurious guest experience. As part of the spa team, you will help maintain the high standards our guests expect while working in a supportive and professional environment
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
This Job Description will be review and updated on an annual basis with Spa Director and The Executive Housekeeping Manager if required.
