The Opportunity
O’Callaghan Collection is seeking an experienced and ambitious Group Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy and performance of our collection of four distinctive Dublin hotels: The Alex, The Mont, The Green and The Davenport.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the Group Director of Sales will be a senior member of the Collection’s commercial team, working closely with Revenue, Marketing and hotel operations to drive market positioning, revenue performance and sustainable growth across the portfolio.
This is a highly influential leadership role with responsibility for the Collection’s sales performance across MICE, Corporate and Leisure segments, in both domestic and international markets. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with a strong commercial drive, leading the team with clarity, energy and accountability while remaining closely connected to our key clients and market opportunities.
The Role
The Group Director of Sales will be an experienced hotel sales leader with a strong track record of delivering commercial results and developing successful, high-performing teams.
The role requires significant senior sales experience within the hotel or hospitality sector, together with strong knowledge of the market across Corporate, MICE and Leisure segments.
The Group Director of Sales will bring proven experience in both domestic and international markets, with the ability to identify opportunities and build valuable long-term partnerships.
A key responsibility will be developing clear sales strategies and translating them into focused activity, measurable results and stronger performance across each hotel.
Strong leadership will be central to the role. The Group Director of Sales will challenge, support and develop the team while setting clear expectations and building a culture of accountability and high performance.
The role requires excellent commercial judgement and a strong understanding of pricing, revenue strategy, displacement and the total value of each piece of business.
The Group Director of Sales will have an established network across relevant corporate, agency, MICE and leisure markets, while continually developing new relationships and business opportunities.
The successful candidate will have the confidence and credibility to engage with senior decision-makers, negotiate effectively and represent O’Callaghan Collection at the highest level.
A proactive, organised and results-focused approach is essential, supported by excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
The role will involve domestic and international travel to develop key markets, represent the Collection and strengthen important client and industry relationships.
