Role Purpose
To deliver a high‑quality, play‑based early learning programme in line with Siolta and Aistear and Tusla Early Years Regulations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, play‑based activities.
- Observe and document children’s learning and development.
- Support individual needs, interests, and emerging skills.
Environment & Daily Practice
- Set up and maintain engaging learning areas.
- Support positive behaviour using child‑centred approaches.
- Ensure hygiene, safety checks, and room organisation.
Communication & Teamwork
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
- Communicate daily updates to parents/guardians.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain attendance, accident/incident forms, and learning records.
- Follow all service policies and procedures.
- Support inspections and quality reviews.
Essential Requirements
- QQI Level 6 in Early Childhood Care & Education.
- Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta, and Tusla regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, child‑centred environment.
Desirable
- Experience in a preschool setting.
- First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, Children First training.
Pay: €18.00 per hour
