We are looking for an experienced cabinet maker who has previously worked in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is a key part of our manufacturing process and the successful candidate will work in a fast paced, team driven environment.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, overtime also available. Hours may vary depending on deadlines that may arise.
Responsibilities:
- To interpret CAD drawings, choosing appropriate wood finish when selecting materials based on drawings provided
- Accurately mark out dimensions on raw timber and manufactured boards
- Cut and shape parts using hand tools and heavy machinery like power saws, routers, and jointers
- Glue, clamp, screw, or nail subassemblies and frames together to form final cabinet drawers
- Trim, scrape, and sand surfaces, then apply stains, paint, varnishes, or polishes and install ironmongery if necessary
Requirements include a minimum of 2-3 years relevant cabinet making experience. Familiarity with the use of woodwork machinery, panel saw, edgebander essential.
