About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Energy Engineer with a specific qualification in Non-Domestic BER Assessment and a strong track record in delivering high-quality assessments for commercial and public buildings. This role involves technical analysis, on-site evaluations, and the preparation of compliant BER reports in line with SEAI standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out non-domestic BER assessments in accordance with SEAI regulations and technical guidance.
- Conduct detailed building surveys, data collection, and energy modelling using approved software.
- Prepare accurate BER certificates, advisory reports, and technical documentation.
- Provide expert guidance on energy performance improvements for non-domestic buildings.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, designers, and clients to support retrofit and upgrade projects.
- Ensure all work meets internal QA standards and statutory compliance.
Requirements
- Recognised Non-Domestic BER Assessor qualification (SEAI registered).
- Proven experience delivering non-domestic BERs, with strong understanding of building services, fabric performance, and energy modelling.
- Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Energy, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple assessments.
- Up-to-date knowledge of SEAI requirements, software tools, and current energy regulations.
Desirable
- Experience in energy audits, retrofit design support, or heat loss calculations.
- Familiarity with renewable technologies and commercial-scale energy upgrades.
Salary
Negotiable depending on experience.
