We are renovating, and updating our kitchen and introducing some exciting food and dining options to our long standing and beloved Cons bar in Mullingar. We are looking for experienced and skilled Cooks to become part of our new team.
Roles and responsibilities
- preparing awesome meals for our customers.
- Weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes.
- Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arranging and garnishing dishes.
- Working well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensuring that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
- Wowing our guests with amazing dishes
- Ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintaine
- Adhering and recording al record in accordance with HACCAP
Requirements
- At least 1 year of cooking experience
- Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation.
- Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
- Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong organization and active listening skills
- The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time
- Exceptional time management skills
Pay: From €15.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mullingar, County Westmeath: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
