Join Arboretum Kilquade, one of Ireland's leading garden and lifestyle destinations, as a Sales Assistant. Based primarily in our Health & Wellness department, you'll also play an important role across the wider shop, supporting customers with everything from gifts and homeware to seasonal and lifestyle products.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a varied retail role where no two days are the same, developing product knowledge across multiple departments while delivering exceptional customer service in a welcoming and inspiring environment.
About the Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer experiences throughout the shop. You’ll provide friendly, knowledgeable service, support sales growth, maintain high merchandising standards, and assist customers in finding products that inspire and delight.
While you will spend much of your time in our Health & Wellness department, you will also support other areas of the shop, including gifts, homeware, seasonal collections, and lifestyle products, giving you exposure to a wide range of products and customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Provide knowledgeable advice on health, wellness, lifestyle, giftware, and home products
- Build strong product knowledge across multiple departments within the shop
- Create engaging customer experiences through excellent service and product recommendations
- Support sales targets through confident selling and upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive product displays and high merchandising standards
- Assist with stock replenishment, deliveries, and inventory management
- Operate tills and process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Support in-store promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the shop to deliver an outstanding customer experience
What You’ll Bring
- Retail or sales experience (ideally some experience in skincare, or wellness)
- Product knowledge and passion for health, wellbeing, and lifestyle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, customer-first approach with strong listening skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and peak retail periods
- A team-focused mindset and willingness to support across the store
