Career Vision Recruiters are looking for an experienced Bar General Manager for their client to run and manage a busy Bar in Naas.
Summary
This is a fun, fast paced role and the correct candidate will have autonomy of running the bar. The GM is responsible for managing the daily operations of the bar. Selecting, development and performance management of the team.

You will have a love for sport, live music and customer care. You will have proven experience in providing excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, understanding customer needs and preferences, continuously improving the customer experience creating great atmosphere with an understanding of lighting & sound. You will be creative with ideas for the Bar & have the ability to forward plan.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to make changes & take risk
- Forward planning of acts/bands/djs
- Ability to adapt from bar/restaurant to late night
- Reporting directly to the Owner will oversee the effective and efficient operations
- Oversee the smooth operation of bar while on duty
- Awareness of competition & be on trend
- Think outside the box & have a clear vision of where you want the bar to go to.
- Have a through product knowledge of all beverages including draught, spirits, liqueurs, cocktails and wines.
- Prepare weekly rosters and drink orders
- Anticipate customer needs, and proactively manage their expectations
- Ensuring duty management shifts are covered
- Be visible to customers and team alike by being hands on and on the floor during your shift
- Ensure quality and standards are met consistently through effective procedures and systems
- To create an environment where the team are up-selling and cross-selling
- To practice tight control on all stock and products, including weekly line/product checks and internal stock takes
- Participate in weekly management meetings
- General Manager will maximise all potential business development opportunities.

Ideal Candidate
- GM will have knowledge of the food/beverage industry in Ireland and market changes or forces that may influence business performance
- GM will have excellent People Management Skills
- Will have an understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
- Will have leadership skills along with excellent communication skills
