Job Summary:
We are seeking a , qualified, skilled and experienced Spray Painter / Panel Beater to join us and lead the team in this Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive spray painting, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting, mixing paints to match factory colours, and applying paint to vehicle bodies in a way that meets or exceeds manufacturer’s standards. You will also be responsible for undertaking repairs on accident damaged vehicles, follow repair instructions, as well as troubleshooting any issues that arise. You must have excellent problem-solving skills, work well with others and be able to work independently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Spray Painter in an automotive repair setting.
- Strong knowledge of painting equipment, materials, and techniques.
- Experience with water-based paint is essential.
- Ability to mix and apply paint in a manner that meets high quality standards.
- Good understanding of colour theory and colour matching.
- Responsible for the preparation and rub down of equipment prior to spray painting.
- Panel Beater experience in Strip & Refit, Panel Repair and Panel Replacement.
- Chassis alignment and Jig work.
- Use of dent pulling equipment.
- Have experience in required welding techniques.
- Attention to detail and an absolute commitment to excellence.
- Good man management skills.
- A good command of the English language.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
All applicants must beQualified with National Craft Certificates and should have a minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
- Mix and match paint to ensure perfect colour alignment with original factory specifications.
- Apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and other equipment, ensuring even coverage and proper thickness.
- Operate heating or drying equipment to accelerate paint drying.
- Perform quality checks on completed jobs to ensure there are no defects.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with health and safety regulations.
- Keep records of paint usage and supplies to manage inventory effectively.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely completion of vehicles.
- Excellent skills in strip and refit of vehicles.
- Cosmetic Repairs: Light Filler work, bumper and plastic repairs.
- Panel Prep for primer and paint.
- Heavy Repairs: High standard of filler repair and finish.
- Panel replacement if required.
- Mig / Mag Steel welding, Spot welding essential.

Pay: €50,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
