Churchfield Home Services is seeking a Skilled Operative (Roof & Floor) to join our retrofit installation team in Mayo.
This role supports the delivery of high-quality attic and floor insulation works, helping homeowners reduce heat loss, improve comfort, and achieve better energy performance. You’ll work as part of a structured site team, carrying out insulation tasks safely, accurately, and to specification.
At Churchfield, quality workmanship and safe working practices come first. You’ll be supported by experienced Supervisors, clear installation standards, and a professional working environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with attic (roof) insulation installations, including mineral wool layering and draught-proofing
- Support installation of insulated attic decking and safe working platforms
- Check and assist with ventilation requirements, including attic vents and insulated ducting
- Insulate pipework, water tanks, and services within attic spaces
- Prepare and protect electrical cabling as required
- Support solid and suspended floor insulation works under supervision
- Assist with lifting floorboards, fitting insulation, and reinstating finishes neatly
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas throughout the job
- Support the Supervisor with photo evidence and documentation
- Communicate politely and professionally with homeowners on site
What You’ll Need
- Experience in insulation, construction, or retrofit works (roof or floor experience preferred)
- Strong practical skills and attention to detail
- Safety-conscious approach, especially in confined spaces and attic environments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling
- Comfortable working at heights and in attic spaces
- Full, clean B driving licence
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
Pay & Benefits
- €16–€23 per hour, depending on experience (weekly pay)
