Kenny Stephenson Chapman Solicitors are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant / Secretary to join our busy practice. Knowledge in the areas of family law, conveyancing and / or probate is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting general office tasks such as copying, scanning, emailing, note-taking and file management.
- Assist with preparing briefs for counsel and filing necessary documents in court.
- Provide administrative support to legal practitioners, including dictation, issuing correspondence, and preparing or collating enclosures.
- Liaising with clients, maintaining clear and concise communication.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a busy environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous legal secretarial assistance is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in general office administration tasks.
