The Opportunity
As the IT Application Support Senior Analyst, you will provide high-quality Level 2/Level 3 application support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) within EirGrid’s Finance application landscape. You will focus on incident resolution, problem management, service improvement and release support to ensure stable, secure and compliant Finance operations. The IT Application Support Senior Analyst will work closely with Finance stakeholders and will collaborate with EirGrid’s 3rd-party support partner for complex incidents and product/vendor escalations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary L2/L3 support contact for D365 F&O Finance modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Procurement & Sourcing, Expense).

Manage and progress incidents in line with ITIL-based processes and agreed SLAs: triage, categorise, prioritise and resolve.
- Perform RCA for recurring/critical issues; document findings and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Support the change and release lifecycle for D365 F&O: impact assessment, regression testing, smoke testing, deployment readiness and hypercare.
- Monitor and support integrations between D365 F&O and surrounding services (e.g., interfaces, data exports/imports, reporting/BI, identity).

Support role-based security administration processes (access requests, role assignment, segregation of duties considerations) in line with governance.

Build strong relationships with Finance users and process owners; translate issues into actionable technical/functional work items.
About You-
4+ years of demonstrable experience providing application support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), including hands-on incident investigation and resolution in Production environments.

Experience supporting Finance processes and controls (record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash).
- Proven track record working within ITIL-based service management (Incident, Problem, Change, Release) and using ticketing tools to manage SLAs and stakeholder communications.

Experience troubleshooting D365 F&O across functional configuration, security roles, batch processing, data entities/DMF, and integrations.

Ability to capture and interpret technical evidence (error logs, trace outputs, monitoring alerts) and produce high-quality escalations to 3rd parties and vendors.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident, engaging Finance stakeholders and explaining technical issues in business terms.

Third-level qualification in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business/Finance, or equivalent experience.
