Position Description
Smart Energy Services (SES) partners with large industrial and commercial businesses, helping them decarbonise their operations, thereby reducing their emissions, lowering energy consumption, and reducing costs. The services delivered by SES to industrial and commercial customers include renewable onsite generation, energy monitoring and management, low energy lighting, electric vehicle charging solutions and the design and delivery of electric heating solutions at industrial scale.
We are seeking a suitably qualified Frameworks Specialist, to support commercial & contractual aspects of energy efficiency projects and energy centres from tender and/or development to completion and handover.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the financial and commercial interests of SES by assisting the Frameworks Manager in managing and controlling commercial, procurement and legal risk, income and expenditure. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with our Sales, Commercial, Engineering, Delivery and Asset Management Teams both on behalf of ESB and with external customers.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the delivery of projects in a timely, efficient, sustainable, and safe manner whilst achieving these commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Frameworks Manager in ensuring all Framework Agreements for the suite of products currently in place in SES are in line with business objectives and that all relevant approvals are in place and are kept up to date.
Work with the Frameworks Manager and commercial team to develop innovative procurement solutions that maximise flexibility for the business within the regulatory constraints in each jurisdiction.
Develop new Framework Agreements or other procurement strategies for emerging technologies, with the support of ESB Procurement, and identify optimum procurement strategies as appropriate to meet the needs of the Business.
Ensure tenders managed by SES are conducted in compliance with ESB Procurement Policies and Procedures.
Assist with ensuring close collaboration between SES and Procurement to integrate CSRD and Green Procurement requirements and relevant environmental strategies into the frameworks.
Undertake industry / market analysis and risk management activities with respect to each technology in the SES Strategy.
Using procurement and market knowledge, provide leadership and direction for the SES suite of technologies.
Produce feedback / lessons learnt to the SES business for future frameworks.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in a procurement, commercial, technical, financial, or other relevant role.
High level knowledge of relevant procurement procedures and processes.
Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects to meet challenging deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced knowledge and experience of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Desirable
Experience working in the Energy Service Sector.
Knowledge of EU and Government policies and legislation in relation to procurement.
A high level of commitment, commercial acumen, business understanding and excellent interpersonal skills.
Location
This position will be based in Swift Square, Santry, Dublin
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week . All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€59,000 - €70,500 per annum (depending on experience)
