Chez Max is a French bistro in the heart of Dublin 2, and we are looking for a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
This is a great opportunity for a chef who already has solid kitchen experience and is ready to take the next step in their career, working in a professional French bistro environment.
The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and the kitchen team, you will help ensure a consistently high standard of food, service and kitchen organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
- Helping to lead and support the kitchen team during service
- Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and consistency
- Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety
- Assisting with stock control, preparation and ordering
- Supporting the smooth running of service in a busy bistro environment
- Helping to train and develop junior members of the kitchen team
What We're Looking For
- Previous professional kitchen experience
- Experience in a busy restaurant environment
- Strong cooking and preparation skills
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Passion for good food and high-quality ingredients
- Previous experience of 2 years at Chef de Partie level or similar would be an advantage
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Ireland (EU/EEA/Swiss citizen or valid Stamp 4)
