Support Worker Celbridge, Co. Kildare
Terms: Flexible Hours, Initial 1-year fixed term contract
ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Worker to assist a gentleman with autism and intellectual disabilities in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
His home is central to his life, and in this role, you will support him to build connections and actively participate in his local community. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is friendly, motivated, and able to use their own initiative, with a practical mindset and a good sense of humour.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the individual in all aspects of daily living, both at home and in the community
Assist in promoting independence
Drive company vehicles as required (full driver's licence essential)
Work as part of a supportive and collaborative team
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Experience in social care or supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities / autism (residential or day
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Full, clean driver's license
Available to work residential hours which will include shift work/ sleepovers and weekends as part of an established friendly team.
Proficient in using standard office IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Relevant qualification in Health or Social Care
SALARY:
Competitive salary based on Care Assistant and Social Care Worker HSE Payscales (dependant on qualifications and experience)
