Rigid Truck Driver / General Operative (4-Day Week)

About the Role
Driving Force is currently seeking a Rigid Truck Driver / General Operative on behalf of one of our clients, based in Clondalkin.
This is a varied role combining driving duties with hands-on operational support across warehouse and production activities. It is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and takes pride in both safe driving and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Driving and Transport Duties

Operate a 10-tonne curtain-side rigid truck

Complete local and national deliveries and collections

Transport materials and equipment safely and efficiently

Plan routes and manage delivery schedules

Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle condition

Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures

Assist with loading and unloading as required
General Operative Duties

Support warehouse, stores, and production activities

Handle, move, and organise materials and equipment

Assist with packing and preparation of goods

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Requirements

Full clean Category C driving licence (essential)

Valid CPC certification

Tachograph card
-
Previous truck driving experience (preferred)

Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments (advantageous)

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Good awareness of health and safety practices

Physically capable of manual handling tasks
Preferred: Forklift licence
